A Problem

We got a new game for the Wii for Christmas. Hayden and Meredith and Mommy and Daddy have been playing it forever! On MY TV! Why does nobody else see a problem with this? I didn't get to watch Doodlebops at all yesterday. And I only got to watch them 3 times this morning.

I don't get to play Wii.
I want to watch DOODLEBOPS!

Mommy's Note: I swear I think even I'm obsessed with these creatures. I HAD to find out what they look like in real life...And that "Get on the Bus" song keeps replaying itself in my head!



We watched them one day and when I turned the tv off, Philip ran up to the tv, "Doodlebops? Moe? Deedee? Rooney? Moe?" Every once in awhile, just out of the blue, he'll start saying, "Moe, Deedee."

We got Stephanie some really ugly little plastic figures of all 3 characters. We were trying to find better ones but they were all we could find and she HAD to have some for Christmas!

I was scanning pictures into the computer and Steffi saw one of her pictures on the computer screen. She got mad at me - "Take my picture OUT of the computer!" I had to show her that I didn't really put the picture into the computer just scanned a picture of her picture into it. Then she was okay with it.

Stephanie just said...

"Oh, my baby is crying. Let me put a bucket on his head."

Just to clarify - she wasn't talking about Philip.

The Monster in the Kitchen

Steffi has started this thing where she asks me to take her to the bathroom. She won't go unless I go with her. I thought maybe she was afraid of the dark. The bathroom is on the other end of the house and we usually keep all the lights off so Philip won't go mess with stuff in the kitchen.

Today she finally told me the reason she won't go herself is because of the monster in the kitchen.

Great. Just when I get the ghost out of the closet.

Etiquette

Steffi is sitting on the couch looking at a book...

M: Can I look at that too?

S: No, you may can't.

It is nighttime. We are laying in bed and Steffi is supposed to be going to sleep. She is also wearing her SuperGirl pj's.

S: Super Heroes don't lay down.
Me: Of course they do.
S: No, they don't.
Me: Then why does Mr Incredible have a bed? He has super powers.
S: Super HEROES don't lay down.
slight pause - I was hoping she had given up.
S: Super Heroes don't sleep.

The Doodlebops

These are Stephanie's new favorite people. She LOVES this show. She'll actually sit and watch the whole show. And, she'll sing along with them and talk to them "Don't pull the rope, Moe!" She really gets into it. She even walks around talking about them - "Deedee, Rooney, Moe!" This morning while I was still in bed I could hear her in her room talking about them. Apparently, she was making her plans for the day.

Cute Sayings

"Oooohhhhh! Hayden is so much in trouble!"

And for some reason she thinks "Liar, Liar, pants on fire" is a bad word and Meredith should get in trouble for that also.

She still says "she" instead of "her": "Mommy, please put she's clothes on she."
