Bragging Rights

Allow me to tell you how smart my baby is. Yesterday we stopped by the doctor's office and she was in the kids' corner, then she runs up to me shouting "Bap, bap" and hands me a puzzle piece of a duck. Just now she brought me a toy kitten saying "Ow". She also knows dogs say "Oof, oof" and cows say "Boo". I'm not sure how to spell what dinosaurs say, it's not "Roar" but it's the same thing every time. ...OK, so we need to work on consonants but she's got the idea and the vowels are right. Plus it's not like we work on these things every day, just whenever they come up so I'm pleased. She actually talks quite a lot for an 18-month-old - at least I think so - Hayden and Meredith talk a lot too so it will be MANY years before I get any peace and quiet at home.

Pointy Teeth

My pointy teeth are coming in. All 4 of them. One of the ones on the top is almost all the way through. After these come in, I will have 16 teeth! I like my teeth.

I'm back to work

I'm feeling better so far today. Mommy put me down for a late nap yesterday at 5:30 but I fooled her - I stayed asleep until this morning! Ha! She didn't get to give me my medicine last night. I slept in today too. Well, I was awake for awhile but I sometimes enjoy being alone for awhile. She finally came up to get me at 8:30. I think I heard the door open earlier but I pretended to still be asleep so she would leave. But now I'm back blogging again. Talk to you more later.

Sick

I'm not feeling very well today. I feel much better than I did yesterday but I'm still whiny and cranky. I hate my medicine and it makes me feel drowsy. And my nose keeps running which wouldn't bother me so much but Mommy keeps trying to wipe it off. I don't want to play with Hayden and Meredith but I kind of want to play with whatever they are playing with. I guess I will just wander around the house aimlessly until naptime.

What a day!

Mommy took us to a new place Monday. There were a lot of kids there and they were playing a movie with lots of singing vegetables. Then Mommy took me into a back room and there were 2 nice ladies there. They were each sitting on a different side of me and talking to me and telling me how pretty I am. And, then...they each gave me a shot in my legs! They were just pretending to be nice but now I know how mean they are! And, you better believe I let them know just how mean they were to me. I cried and cried and let everybody in the entire room know how they tricked me. And, then my Mommy finally rescued me and took me home.

I stand really still so they can get my picture but I don't smile.
But I love having my picture taken so afterwards I smile and maybe do my happy dance.

Slide

This is my slide. Grandpa got it just for me when Camden and Hunter were little. He kept it out by the shed so Hayden and Meredith cleaned it up for me. Hayden and Meredith play on it too. But they do it wrong. They like to slide down backwards and face first. I tried to go down face first yesterday but the bottom was up against the register and I cut my lip. It was all Hayden and Meredith's fault. I was so mad and hurt and now my lip looks funny up close.

But aren't I a pretty girl? My hair is getting long. Soon Grandpa will complain that it is always in my eyes. Silly Grandpa.
