GooGoo Chronicles

People ask me why call this the "GooGoo Chronicles". Well, because that's what MomMom calls me - "GooGoo." She used to call Meredith "Goober" and Hayden was "Bugaboo." She doesn't call either of them those names anymore so, hopefully, this is just a baby name that I will outgrow.

Stephanie - 0; Driveway - 1

I hate those shoes. And I hate that driveway. And MomMom's not in such good standing right now either. Neither is Grandma. They were both unloading Grandma's car and I was coming to help and I tripped and neither of them caught me before I landed on my face. Honestly, how am I supposed to go thru my 1st birthday party looking like this? At least I've already had my pictures taken.

Feeding time

Right now I am feeding MomMom crackers. (Don't tell her but I am picking them up off of the floor.) Meredith is sharing with me and that means most of them go on the floor first. Oh, I can also talk now. Most of the time, no one understands me but I can say "SpongeBob" really well.

This is my room. MomMom really likes "Alice in Wonderland" so she picked out this border. I don't know who the heck Alice is but I guess I like the pictures too.

A long time

Wow, it's been a long time since MomMom let me use the computer! I've been busy though. I've got this walking thing down pat. No more rug burn on my knees for me! MomMom even got me some shoes so I can walk outside. That was good since we went to the fair last weekend.
See this is me at the parade. I was trying to pick up the candy but the older kids kept getting there first. Don't worry though, I'll be beating them soon enough.
This is my friend Leah. She's a little bit younger than me and she's just learning to walk. We plan to have a REAL GOOD time when we get together this Christmas. Besides us, there will also be Ava and Kyle running around!

Today

MomMom is irritating me today! I'm trying to tell her something and she just acts like she doesn't understand me. Then I try to help her with taking dirty dishes out of the dishwasher and she shoos me away and closes it and says something about finishing loading it when I take my nap. Then I find some pizza in the trash - it looked really good and just as I was about to take a bite, she takes it away from me! Honestly! I can feed myself, you know.

I think I've got this walking thing down now. Now I'm trying to add to my workout. I carry things with me when I walk. Like I carry a small toy in each hand and wave it over my head while I walk. Then I steal Meredith's bear and hug it close and walk super fast and giggle. Giggling adds to the workout. And the tug of war when Meredith tries to take her bear back helps too. Plus, I like hearing her scream when I take bear - it's funny to me.

Birthday Party

We had a birthday party at our house on Sunday. We celebrated all the summer birthdays and I showed everyone how I can walk. My Grandpa came to play with us - we got him good!
Of course, after all that playing, there always comes the crash. People say you shouldn't drown your troubles in a bottle, but I'm not even 1 yet. (Yes, that is Peggi's sippy cup. We didn't want her to spill on the carpet.)
